Editorial policy

DermaColumn prioritises information that helps a patient judge suitability, risk, price and provider credentials. We do not build promotional rankings disguised as medical guidance.

Last updated: 2026-08-11

Content types

We label doctor-authored columns, editorial guides, medically reviewed editorial content and research summaries separately.

We do not present editorial copy as if it were written by a doctor.

Topic selection

We prioritise real questions across the patient journey and gaps that matter for safety.

A clinic, product or device request does not by itself determine coverage.

Sources

Medical, legal, tax and price claims link to checkable official documents, guidelines, authorised product information or original research.

Experience-based observations are labelled as observations or opinion when a stronger source is unavailable.

Advertising and conflicts

Advertising, sponsorship and paid placement are labelled where readers can see them.

A commercial partner cannot control an independent conclusion, safety information or a correction.

Authorship and accountability

We distinguish Written by from Medically reviewed by.

General information does not replace individual medical care.
