Both are devices used for lifting, but the depth at which they mainly act and the role they play are different.

Facial descent does not occur in a single layer, so treating with one device can leave descent in the other layers untouched.

A layered approach starts here. The lower face is addressed first, then the deep layer with HIFU, then fine areas such as the jawline and around the mouth are finished with a pen-type device. RF settles the lower face, HIFU catches the deep descent, and the pen-type device refines the contour of the shallow layer at the end.

The point is not that more devices are better. It is that each layer needs the approach that suits it, in an order where each step raises the efficiency of the next.
